Modules
defgo.net has flexible licenses

With defgo.net’s module structure, you only pay for the modules you need. Choose between the many modules described below.

Contact us for more information.

Language module
Send out questionnaires in six different languages
Questionnaires and reports can be prepared in Danish or English. They can then be sent out in English, German, Polish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish or Danish. All the explanations and dialogue boxes will appear in the chosen language. In that way, the respondent receives the optimal guidance in filling out the questionnaire correctly.

New languages can be ordered.

Data entry module
Easy data entry from paper questionnaires or telephone interviews
The data entry module can be used for telephone interviews (CATI) and for data entry from paper questionnaires

In certain situations, it may be necessary to combine internet-based data collection with paper questionnaires and data collection via telephone, or even to conduct the entire survey via CATI or by post.

For these purposes, we have developed a quick and user-friendly system for entering data. Data collected via CATI or by post can be automatically combined with data collected via Internet.
Focus Group Module
Conduct focus groups on-line
The on-line focus group module includes a moderator mini-course.

On-line focus groups can be used in many situations as an alternative to a face-to-face focus group, for example, meetings which involve evaluation, discussion of presentations, brainstorming, etc. can typically be accomplished via an on-line focus group.

You save time and travel expenses and the results are a source of useful qualitative information.

Focus group participants are invited via the panel system in defgo.net. Participants login by simply clicking on a link (at the given time) and the discussion is under way.

During the group, a log file (transcript) is generated which documents all communication during the course of the group.
Data Import and Export Module
Easy integration of data with other analysis tools
Export of raw data to SPSS, SAS and Microsoft Excel. Contact us for other formats.

In the standard version of defgo.net, reports can be opened directly in Excel and raw data can be exported in ASCII format. If you need more than this, choose the data export module.

For SPSS (for Windows) defgo.net creates a file in .SAV format, which can be opened directly in SPSS. The file contains questionnaire texts and data, so that everything is ready for continuing the analysis.

The same applies to Excel (97/2000/XP for Windows), where .XLS files can be opened directly in Excel.

For SAS (for Windows v7/8/9), two files are created – a program file containing the answer texts, and a data file containing the question texts and the raw data.

Import of external data from SPSS format to existing questionnaires in defgo.net. Other formats (e.g. Excel and SAS) can be ordered.

Import of external questionnaires and data from ASCII-format, fixed column width (triple-s) to defgo.net. Other formats (e.g. Excel, SAS and SPSS) can be ordered.

Increased Security Module
Increased security for defgo.net users
Standard defgo.net has the normal level of Internet security (login done with strong encryption).

With this module, you can achieve a high level of security in the form of 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layers) of questionnaires, reports, transcript files (focus groups) and export of data. This insures against data falling into the wrong hands.

The module complies with the rules of The Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) concerning data collection for a 3rd party, public authorities, etc.
Forms Module
Create electronic forms
Electronic forms have many similarities to questionnaires.

With the defgo.net Forms module, you can, for example, create electronic order or application forms which can be accessed through a homepage.

The data is stored in a “horizontal” structure, so it can easily be transferred to Word, Excel or other programs.
User administration module
Administration of defgo.net users
For defgo.net customers with many users, it can be advantageous to have the right to set up new users and administer them yourself.

With this module, you can create new user profiles, define access privileges and edit settings.

In addition, an administrator can make questionnaire templates which are then available for the other users.

Advanced Report Module
Gives expanded options for making reports
With this module, you can stipulate several simultaneous filters when creating reports.

In addition, it is possible to make cross-survey reports, that is, you can compare the answers to a question from one survey with answers to the same question in one or more additional surveys.

Paper Questionnaire Module
Print your own paper questionnaires
You can produce paper questionnaires for respondents who don’t have access to a PC.

Questionnaires are set up in a neat layout with the option of ready-printed information such as the respondent’s address, so they can be quickly and easily sent by post to any number of respondents.

In addition, it is possible to include printed instructions for filling out the questionnaire, as well as a unique respondent number which makes it possible to send a reminder.

Background Data Module
Generate ready-printed information in questionnaires
Include ready-printed information in your questionnaire so that respondents don’t need to enter information which they have already supplied. It is still possible for them to make changes in the information.

In addition, you can conduct surveys with hidden background data. This means that you can link the respondent’s background information to his/her answers without it being visible to the respondent but so that you will be able to access this information in your reports.

Instruction Module
Make instructions with an invitation to fill out a questionnaire via Internet
Create a guide for respondents with a description of how to fill out a questionnaire via Internet. This function can be used in surveys where the respondent’s e-mail address is unknown. The instruction contains a unique code so that the respondent can return to the questionnaire if interrupted.

Use the instruction module for e.g. course evaluations, where participants can receive a personal instruction letter and subsequently complete the questionnaire on the Internet – either right away, using the PC in the classroom, or at a later time.

Advanced Panel Module
Subscribe and unsubscribe to panels directly from your homepage
Control subscription and unsubscription to your panels directly from your homepage. In addition, this module can be used to send messages and newsletters out to panel members.

For example, it can be useful in building up and maintaining a panel of survey respondents or a panel of subscribers to a mailing list or electronic newsletter.
Weighting Module
Use weights in your survey analysis
The answers in a survey can now be weighted so that the data material has the desired distribution in relation to the target group.

For example, you can use weighting in your survey so that the distribution of gender, age or geographical data matches other known statistics.
